ON THE ROOF

Two FBI agents hide behind a vent, aim their sights of their rifles's at the apartment window. A wave of plasma sweeps over the agents, revealing their true identities. T-2000 makes a move; the Terminator holds her back.

T-2000 This goes against our mission.

TERMINATOR The other terminators were terminated. Why? Emphasis on termination, not surveillance.

INT. APARTMENT -- EL SEGUNDO -- DAY

John glances out the window. The street is deserted. He walks to the window.

JOHN What's wrong with this picture?

Cortez and Sarah join him.

JOHN
(points to the street) Where's the traffic?

Sarah's paranoia returns. She reaches out to John while picking up her Browning. Dave stands up to look. Sarah sees the head of a person in a black uniform on a building across the street.

SARAH Everybody down! NOW!!
