| At that time, a horn on a black truck parked in the driveway, honks outside. John glances toward the window. He clicks off the PC and the stereo. |
| John picks up his backpack then exits the room. Sarah watches him leave, wondering what's happening to her son. |
| 7. INT. -- KITCHEN -- MORNING |
| John runs down the steps, past the kitchen door. Steve sits at the kitchen table reading a newspaper, drinking coffee. |
| John ignores Steve while storming out the front door. Sarah enters the kitchen and we PAN with her to the table and sits. She glances at a television on the counter and shakes her head, thinking of John's recent behavior. |
