CUT AWAY:

John steps into the truck; then it leaves the driveway.

CUT BACK:

Steve looks at his watch. He picks up his dark blue jacket off the back of his chair.

Steve I've got to leave for a business meeting.

Sarah Meeting?

Steve Yeah. Nothing to worry about, my little software engineer.

He strolls over to Sarah. She puts her arms around him then the both of them share an intimate kiss. They gaze at each other. Sarah sheepishly grins.

Sarah What kind of meeting?

Steve Hardware stuff. I might be late coming home.
(putting on suit jacket) Bye' Sarah.

Steve picks up his briefcase next to the chair. Steve walks to and out the door.

Sarah reaches across the table, reads the newspaper headlines. "RUSSIA INVADES MIDDLE EAST, Russian Ultra-nationalists on rampage". She glances at the television, a reporter tells of the crisis.

Reporter ...the administration opposes Russia's plan to stop the Sudan and Libyan terrorists controlling Egypt. The European Union acknowledges Israel's concern on Russia's actions, and is opposed....

Sarah takes a plate to the sink. As she passes the television on the counter, there is a news report about the Emmy Awards. She listens.
