REESE Identify yourself.

STEVE Colonel Reese, it's me, from the meeting.

REESE
(not really remembering) How high was your security?

STEVE Level ten.

Reese blankly eyes him, then acknowledges him.

REESE All right, you can join us. Just keep in mind we have to watch our backs.

SARAH Will you trust us?

REESE Depends on who you are.

TERMINATOR We're here to help you.

EXT. HIGHWAY -- TRUCK -- DARK

T-2000 drives the semi truck toward her destination. The truck passes a sign; HOLLOMAN AFB, 70 MILES; WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, 75 MILES.

EXT./INT. GILA JUNCTION -- WEAPONS BUILDING -- DARK

Reese leads Sarah, Steve, John and the Terminator to a building. Sarah glances at the townspeople, a mix of the melting pot of America.

SARAH Who are these people?

REESE Military personnel, freedom fighters, militia people, native Americans, refugees, illegal aliens maybe. I don't know all of them. All I know is they're all survivors.

A GUARD DOG sits next to the front door of a shed. As they walk in, John reaches forward and pets the dog. The dog smells him and licks his palm. The Terminator walks by, the dog SNARLS.

From the Terminator's POV, we see him activate a "VIRTUAL BIO-FIELD". The dog shakes its head, confused, and begins licking the Terminator's hand.
