HARRIS
Lieutenant Cox! Why is the learning rate increasing?

LIEUTENANT COX
(types; surprised)
I...I don't know. It's never been this fast, sir. I'll check it out.

As they take their attention away from the screen, the T-INFINITY computer completes its genetic algorithm learning cycle. It's becoming self-aware with machine code language appearing in its POV. Digital outlines appear around T-INFINITY'S view of the humans.

"TARGETING ANALYSIS RUNNING."

THE TIME on the Washington-based time clock reads 2:14 A.M. Eastern time, AUGUST 29th, 2000. Everybody in the control room is jolted out of their work as the T-INFINITY utters its first sentence, in a cold, steel-sounding electronic simulation of a voice, made from the sounds of the equipment in the room. The flourescent lights modulate to the voice with changes in brightness. The computerized Beast is alive.

T-INFINITY
What makes you optimistic?

INT. DIGITAL INT. INDUS. -- DESIGN LAB -- MORNING

The time is 9:00 A.M. Sarah picks her head up off the desk. Where a wall should be is a desert landscape.

A CLOUD OF DUST

appears on the horizon. The cloud moves closer to Sarah. She slowly rises to her feet. Four horses with riders coming out of the cloud. A White horse. Three other horses follow; black, red and pale, sickly green.

THE FOUR HORSEMEN

approach, Steve on the White Horse, the Terminator on the black horse, T-2000 on the red horse and Frank Wernhausen on the pale horse. But these aren't flesh and blood horses, they're endoskeletons.

A FLASH OF LIGHT

makes everything evaporate into energy, then...

STEVE
Sarah!
