Sarah releases an explosion of anger as she attacks a filing cabinet, punching it, kicking it, then knocking it over. Sarah STOMPS the CD-ROM with her boot, CRACKING the disk. John and Steve run over to her. They briefly keep their distance from her volcanic fury.

John approaches Sarah from the side, and clamps his arms around her. Both of them slump to their knees as Sarah breaks down shaking, leaning her head against John's shoulder.

SARAH
(incredulous) After all I've done, MY program brought the machines back.

John hugs Sarah while Steve looks on at this paranoid family bonding. Sarah looks up to the Terminator.

SARAH When does the war start?

TERMINATOR Today, eight-fifteen P.M. Eastern time.

JOHN That's, uh...five-fifteen Pacific. (looks at his watch) It's five o'clock.

Sarah looks up at a wall calendar seeing the month, August of 2000. She speaks in a low, prophethetic voice.

SARAH We bought ourselves three years. Now we're too damn late. Fucking SHIT.

INT. NUCLEAR COMMAND CENTER -- LATE AFTERNOON

T-INFINITY completes accessing the launch codes for the country's nuclear missiles. A message appears on the screens:

RE-TARGETING SEQUENCE COMPLETE.

Frank's holographic form turns to General Harris and stares him straight in the eyes.

T-INFINITY Extinction is your only hope. And an optimistic one at that.
