| EXT. RESIDENTIAL STREET -- MORNING |
| A newspaper delivery boy
rides his bike on a street in Pasadena. He throws a newspaper toward a
house, RATTLES a window next to the front door. A man opens the
door. STEVE FERGUSON steps out the door; picks up the paper. Mid twentyish, dark brown hair, brown eyes, white shirt, tie, suit pants. A BLUE DODGE NEON is parked up the street. In the car a woman wears a blue work shirt, blue jeans, LA Dodgers jacket. SARAH CONNOR holds a 35mm digital camera connected to a laptop computer. She snaps pictures like a photographer at a photo shoot. |
| Sarah gets a shot of Steve. Steve walks back inside. She starts the Neon; drives away. A blue Sedan follows Sarah. |
| EXT. FREEWAY -- LOS ANGELES -- MORNING |
| THE NEON turns onto the Pasadena Freeway. Sarah notices the Sedan. |
| EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING -- MORNING |
| A run-down apartment
building stands in broken down section of El Segundo. The building is of Spanish design, arched doorways, tile roof. Boarded windows and gang graffiti cover the walls. Looks abandoned to outsiders. |
| INT. APARTMENT -- EL SEGUNDO -- MORNING |
| The inside is obviously
not abandoned. Four people are inside of a heavily fortified apartment
inside the building. Several large plates of 1/4 inch sheet metal are
bolted to the walls facing the street. A 50 caliber machine gun is
aimed toward the window.
