A FLASH OF LIGHT

illuminates the room. Blue static plasma pours out of the fluorescent ceiling lights. The Terminator resumes normal form. His right hand, still in plasma form, shapes into a data jack. He connects himself to the computer. The Terminator copies every file the FBI agent is accessing. The computer screen shows Sarah's old mug shots. Videos from the institution play in small windows.

Sarah's police record, scrolls on the screen. Destruction of Cyberdyne, Grand Larceny, Felony Explosive Use, Firearm felonies, kidnapping John Connor.

A SECOND STREAM

of blue plasma flows from an electrical outlet; shapes into T-2000. This female Terminator has something the previous ones didn't have: her own personality. She smiles at the Terminator as she slowly strolls up to him.

T-2000
Thought I'd find you here.

TERMINATOR
I've located Connor. He's --

T-2000 gently places her index finger on the Terminator's lips to shush him.

T-2000
I already know. FBI computers have pathetic security these days.

INT. APARTMENT -- EL SEGUNDO -- MORNING

Dave stands next to Sarah as she taps away on the laptop computer. The radio talks in the background.

RADIO ANNOUNCER
The President assures us the U.S. and U.N. will work to seek peace in the Mid-East crisis... Rioting has broken out at the U.N youth center. We'll keep you updated.

John slowly shakes his head at the news.

JOHN
If the machines don't destroy the world, we will.

EXT. ROOFTOP -- ACROSS STREET -- MORNING

Blue plasma flows off of the electric wires on the roof of the building. It forms into you-know- who.
