EXT.-- ROOFTOP -- ACROSS STREET -- MORNING

Blue plasma flows off of the electric wires on the roof of the building. They form into you know who.

T-TWO THOUSAND
The creator wants them terminated quickly.

The Terminator
A direct termination doesn't work. We're going to wait.

The Terminator's arm morphs into a string of plasma. It flows down the side of the building. It reaches the back of a phone booth and attaches itself to the phone cable.

THE TERMINATOR'S DIGITIZED POV

Shows voice and data logs, fax messages. A 3-D listing of data being transferred from Sarah and John's apartment to a remote computer service then to Cyberdynes Computer.

EXT. -- PARKING LOT -- SUBSIDIARY -- MORNING

Steve parks his car. He steps out carrying his briefcase. He passes a sign. It reads "CYBERDYNE SYSTEMS". The building, rebuilt with new glass facing, shines in the sunlight. Steve walks through a type of doorway scanner that scans a person's hand. Steve places his hand on the interactive pad which can read a persons DNA. DNA SCAN - POSITIVE ID, FERGUSON, STEVE - ACCESS GRANTED. A high tech open sesame.

INT. -- CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S OFFICE -- MORNING

The chief executive of Cyberdyne, FRANK WERNHAUSEN, in his fifties, with thinning, greyish-blond hair, sits at his computer in his spacious and moderately lit office. He uses a virtual reality device. The movement of his blue eyes sorts files in the computer.

Steve KNOCKS at the door. No answer. Steve walks in; places his briefcase on a wooden conference table. Frank shuts off the device, looks up to Steve. He responds with a slight German accent.

Frank
Sorry I didn't hear you Steve.

Steve
A new toy, Mr. Wernhausen?
