John My future. Flipping burgers.
(beat, hand covering eyes) I for a while I even thought about getting a gun and painting the ceiling with my brains.

Dave nervously glaces over to John, eying him through the Lennon style glasses.

Dave C'mon man. You're beginning to scare the shit out of me.

John slams the uniform back into his bag. John punches dashboard with his right fist a couple of times. He slumps back in the seat and sighs. John's life is at rock bottom.

John
(puts his hand to knee) My mom's a big and successful computer programmer. What do I do? Flip burgers.

Dave You'll be something. The future has weird twists and turns.
( forcing a smile) Let's skip school and go pick up some girls at the mall.

John takes out his little laptop computer. He connects a celluar phone, accesses his online service account. He cruises the Internet.

10. EXT. -- INTERSECTION -- PASADENA -- MORNING

Steve listens to the radio while stopping for a red light.

While he waits, a Jeep pulls up next to him, the Terminator in the drivers seat. Steve briefly glances at the Terminator then steps on the gas when the light turns green. The Terminator turns the jeep onto the side street.

11. INT. -- POLICE CAR PARKED NEXT TO A CURB

while T-ONE THOUSAND continues reading Sarah and John's files. He liquefies his hand into an interface adapter, and connects himself to the computer. He by-passes the security system and downloads protected data from L.A.P.D.'s mainframe.
