| Dave reassuringly pats John on the shoulder before walking to the front door. John looks out the window for a trash can. He wads up the Big Bob's uniform. We FOLLOW John as he steps out of the truck and walks to a set of blue trash containers, unaware the Terminator is waiting across the street. John throws the uniform at the opening of the trash can. He misses. The Terminator aims the Mag-10. He pulls the trigger. JOHN leans over to pick up the uniform as the Terminator fires. BOOOOOM!!! The shot misses John blasting a hole in the trash can. |
| John immediately scrambles to his feet and the CAMERA ANGLES with him as he runs to the truck. He quickly climbs in through the drivers side window. JOHN ducks as a slug from the MAG-10 PUNCHES a hole in the front fender. John starts the truck and floors the gas. The Terminator starts up the Jeep, then chases after John. |
| 23. EXT. -- TERMINATOR CHASING JOHN -- STREET -- DAY |
| John swerves the pick-up truck through traffic while the Terminator follows. The both of them pass a semi truck, hauling a tank full of gasoline. The Terminator nearly reaches the back of the pick-up truck. The engine on the Jeep begins SPUTTERING. Terminator makes a quick scan of the Jeep from his POV. The gas gauge reads -- EMPTY. Terminator looks behind him seeing the semi approaching. He steers the jeep up next to the semi, reaches out then pulls himself up and onto the side of the cab, taking his AK-47 and MAG-10 with him. He JERKS open the door of the truck and pulls the driver out by the collar. The Terminator throws him onto the hood of a car in the next lane. |
